My name is Carol Lizana. I was born and raised in Baton Rouge, where I graduated from Baton Rouge High School in 1969. I met my husband of 40 years, John, while attending Delta State University in Cleveland, MS. We have 4 children and 9 grandchildren.
I was raised at First Baptist Church, Baton Rouge, where I taught Sunday School for 12 years. I also served as receptionist for 4 years. John served as Chairman of the Deacons there in 1993. My love of horses led me to serve as Head Wrangler at Judson Baptist Retreat Center for 10 years, teaching and helping with the horse program. I had to "retire" for medical reasons and I miss it immensely!
We moved our membership to Parkside Baptist Church (now Redeemer Baptist Church) in Jan. of 2006 and have loved this fellowship ever since.
