Mark Rodgers moved to Baton Rouge several years ago, after retiring from a 20-year career as a U. S. Navy Supply Officer, to pursue a career in Christian retail. He was ordained to the gospel ministry in 2004, and brought a decade of experience as a bi-vocational music minister to Parkside Baptist Church (now Redeemer Baptist Church) three years ago.
He often explains to the congregation that his philosophy of ministry is "When in doubt, sing loud!" This simply means that he believes in making a joyful noise unto the Lord.
Mark has been happily married to Linda Rodgers for 29 years, and together they are raising three daughters, ages 24, 17 and 10.
