Lift up Jesus: The Bible in its entirety is about God’s redemptive plan through the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. Therefore our desire at Redeemer is to exalt Jesus in all that we do.
Jesus said, “If I am lifted up I will draw all people to myself.” John 12:32
Live in obedience: As born-again believers, we are called to live according to God’s Holy Word. We understand that we are fallen creatures and need the empowering work of the Holy Spirit to enable us to accomplish this work.
“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:10
Love the world: When we are born again we are called to be salt and light to a broken world. The most effective way to demonstrate God’s redemptive work is by the way we love. Therefore we strive to love those who are in this world with the Love of Christ.
“Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.” 1 John 4:7
In order to lift up Jesus, live in obedience, and love the world, we must live out the Great Commission in our everyday lives. Our mission at Redeemer is to fulfill the call of the local church to carry out the Great Commission.
“And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, ‘All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
We are a local body of born-again believers who strive to make disciples through the relationships in our lives. We seek to engage our friends, family, neighbors, and coworkers; and through those relationships, share the love of Jesus.
