Redeemer Baptist Church exists to
lift up Jesus, live in obedience,
and love the world.
Lift Up Jesus
All of the Bible is about Jesus. The Old Testament points toward Him, and the New Testament is the fulfillment of God’s Old Testament promises in the person of Jesus. Jesus was God’s plan from the beginning!
In John 12:32, Jesus says, “If I be lifted up, I will draw all men to myself.” Therefore, at Redeemer we want to exalt Jesus in everything we do.
Live in Obedience
The Bible is the revealed will of God in the life of His children. He desires for us to be obedient, and thus receive the favor of God.
In the Bible, we see how God intends for us to live in a lost and dying world. We are called to be His ambassadors, and the best way to accomplish this is obedience to His Word.
“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:10
Love the World
Jesus was the perfect example of love. He loved those who the world considered unlovable. He loved those who beat and crucified Him. He loved those who betrayed Him.
In Jesus’ farewell address to His disciples in John 13:35, He told them, “They will know you are my disciples when you love one another.” In light of this, at Redeemer we believe the best way to reach people with the Gospel is to love them like Jesus does.
“Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.” 1 John 4:7
“Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, ‘All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
In order to lift up Jesus, live in obedience, and love the world, we must live out Jesus’ Great Commission in our everyday lives.
We are a local body of believers who strive to make disciples through the relationships in our lives. We seek to engage our friends, family, neighbors, and coworkers, and through those relationships, show and tell of the transforming love of Jesus.
